Monique Woodard Joins AfroLife Board

LOS ANGELES (March 15, 2018) – AfroLife announces that investment executive Monique Woodward has joined the efforts to launch the global media destination focused on the African American audience. Monique has world-class experience and global recognition from Silicon Valley to Asia Pacific and can be found regularly speaking about the challenges founders and businesses of color face in the ever-challenging venture capital and private equity space. Because of her wealth of knowledge and business approach, she has spoken at SXSW, Dreamforce, Women 2.0 and other innovative conferences as a subject matter expert.   

Monique is the Co-Founder and Executive Producer of Black Founders, which is dedicated to increasing the number of successful black entrepreneurs in technology.  She was one of San Francisco’s first Mayor’s Innovation Fellows and spent a year in the Mayor’s Office of Civic Innovation, where she worked on multiple innovative including a resolution that contributed to early strategy around community Internet access and the availability of broadband in disadvantaged neighborhoods. Monique enjoys working in consumer technology and has helped numerous companies execute market strategy, define new products, and align product positioning and messaging.
